Hydroseeding is a grass planting process starting with the mixture of the seed, water, fertiliser, hormones and wood fibre mulch sprayed directly onto the ground. By so doing, the ground is sown, fertilised and mulched at the same time. As the mulch can retain water ten times its weight, the seeds are constantly kept humidified.
Slope stabilisation through hydroseeding. A mixture of seeds of several grass varieties, wood fibre mulch, glue, hormones and fertilisers are used.
PROPER IRRIGATION IS ESSENTIAL. The irrigation system should cover the whole area and should irrigate it regularly and evenly. During the first two weeks of germination, the ground should be irrigated from two to five times daily.
.
WEED CONTROL IS VERY IMPORTANT. The ground has to be weed free. By watering and fertilising the area at least two weeks before the seed, weed germination is stimulated. Moreover, you will get the idea of how much space the irrigators should cover. Three weeks before the seeding, the fertiliser will help the dormant seeds to germinate. After germination, a weedkiller should be spread before they sprout. Keep on watering for another 7 days to be sure that most weed seeds are dead. If the weeds appear again, repeat the whole procedure..
Grass covering of car parking by hydroseeding. High level green parking areas made up of superficial substrata and grass covered. The hydroseeding is done with a mixture of especially wear- resistance gramineous plants.
HYDROSOWN AREA MAINTENANCE: The whole area should be constantly kept humidified and lightly but regularly watered. Though avoiding the run-off and the muddying, it has to be irrigated from two to five times a daily. The sown area must never become dry! As soon as the seeds have germinated and growth has started, the water should be supplied less frequently but for longer periods. At first, the young plants should be fertilised every 2 weeks; after their germination, they should be fertilised every 2 or 3 months; later on, at regular intervals, according to the variety used and the features of the ground. HYDROSEEDING IN A DRY CLIMATE. (to carry out in autumn and winter); though in hydroseeding slopes, shores, dumps, etc., the germination and the stabilisation time is strictly linked to the frequency of the showers and whether they are heavy or light, the capacity of the mulch to retain water ten times its weight, helps the species to take root. Sometimes, in dry weather areas, water retentors are added to the mixture so that, when touching water, they produce a sort of jelly helping the seed to absorb more water, often for a long time. Anyway, protected by the mulch, the seed stays on the ground for a long time (sometimes even months) until the ground moisture conditions are optimal for germination..
Urban Solid Waste Dump to grass cover with a mixture of gramineous and leguminosae fit to the presence of biogasses.
In selecting the varieties to hydroseed, the nature of the different species and whether they fit your needs should be considered.
