All airports open to civil traffic are subject to the so called "Bird Strike" safety standards in order not to get in struggle with wildlife, birds (gulls etc..).that can represent a significant risk to airplanes. To do this it is fundamental to keep the vegetation adjacent to the under control. Therefore you need sod grass and grass of legumes species.

The grass must be kept low cut to prevent nesting of birds which flights are dangerous for the airplanes. The choice of plant species is therefore fundamental, preferably stolonizing ones, that are hydroseeded also with the help of glues to avoid formation and uplift of dust that damages the aircraft reactors and thus dangerous situations.
